Mrs Ranmalee Balasooriya appointed as the next Vice Principal

An old girl of Ladies' College, She has a sound educational background of a Bachelor of Arts (2nd Upper) from the University of Kelaniya and a Post Graduate Qualification in Education from the Open University of Sri Lanka.

Additionally, she has an exceptional career as an educator with over 26 years of teaching experience in every section from Nursery to the A/Levels at Ladies' College. She also has over six years of administrative experience and presently Heads the Ladies' College Middle School whilst teaching in the Middle School, O/Level and Local A/Level Sections and being the teacher-in-charge of the School's Photography Society.

She is a gifted, creative, versatile and much more loved teacher by all our students and is considered an approachable and sincere colleague by the LC staff. Mrs Balasooriya also stands out for her integrity, impeccable character and humility. Above all strong woman of faith who has headed her church sunday school for over two decades, she is also a popular speaker at the School's SCM Sessions.

I feel truly priviledged to have Mrs Balasooriya as my lieutenant to steer Ladies' College in these challending times. I am confident that the School will truly be blessed as she comes forward to serve her alma mater with dedication and love as she has done over decades.
